DICKSON,Tenn. (January 6, 2012) – Horizon Medical Center has launched a convenient online pre-registration service that decreases wait times for patients who schedule tests or procedures.
“This new service will allow hospital staff to verify all demographic and insurance information prior to the patient’s visit which makes the registration process easy and efficient,” says Horizon Patient Access Director Debbie Buchanan. “In addition, all information submitted on-line will be treated as part of your confidential patient record insuring that your information is private and secure.”
Online pre-registration enables patients to complete the pre-registration process over the internet, allowing them to have more control over their own healthcare experience. Pre-registration is available for patients with an already scheduled procedure, birthing services and screening mammograms. Additional pre-registration benefits include:
- Allowing hospital staff to communicate with your insurance company to verify benefits and eligibility
- Resolve any insurance concerns before the service date
- Informing patients of any possible financial obligations
- Requires less than 15 minutes to register
