Critical Care

Critical Care at TriStar Horizon

Critically ill medical patients are cared for on our 6 -bed Intensive Care Unit. Registered nurses, physicians from many specialties, and many other healthcare professionals collaborate to form a diagnosis, treatment, and discharge plan for each individual patient.

Hospital Visitation in the ICU

Because our ICU patients require a much higher level of care, policies differ from other areas of the hospital. Occasionally, our nurses may have to ask visitors to step out during regular visiting hours so we may provide the highest level of care to our patient. While we believe family and friends are essential to the healing process, please remember that caring for our patient is our top priority.

ICU Visiting Hours

  • 24/7 open visitation
  • Restricted to two (2) people at a time
  • Must be at least 13 years of age.

Protecting Patient Information

Information on patients in ICU may only be given out over the telephone to a person who has the patient passcode, which is given to the patient or designated family member upon admission to our unit. No information will be provided without the passcode.

Above All Else

Our primary goal is to provide the highest excellence in patient satisfaction. We want family members to have peace of mind that their loved one is receiving the most competent care available. If at any time you have questions, please speak to your nurse. If you would like to send an employee a thank-you note, please fill out the form to share your story.
