Critical Care Services
Critically ill medical patients are cared for on our 6 -bed Intensive Care Unit. Registered nurses, physicians from many specialties, and many other healthcare professionals collaborate to form a diagnosis, treatment, and discharge plan for each individual patient.
Policies and workings of our critical care unit are different from most other areas of the hospital, simply because our patients require a much higher level of care. Unlike other areas of the facility, our visiting times are spread out into several intervals over the course of the day, and only two visitors at a time are allowed. Occasionally, our nurses may have to ask visitors to step out during regular visiting hours so we may provide the highest level of care to our patient. While we believe family and friends are essential to the healing process, please remember that caring for our patient is our top priority.
Information on patients in ICU may only be given out over the telephone to a person who has the patient passcode, which is given to the patient or designated family member upon admission to our unit. No information will be provided without the passcode.
Our primary goal is to provide the highest excellence in patient satisfaction. We want family members to have peace of mind that their loved one is receiving the most competent care available. If at any time you have questions, please speak to your nurse.
